From the Lodge a short walk will find magnificent waterfalls and many beaches, or soak in hot springs, explore history by Jeep, Bike or Hike, the Kootenay's are truly premium motorcycle and snowmobile hideaway.

Kootenay Lake is a long, narrow and deep fjord-like lake it is one of the largest lakes in British Columbia, at 104 km in length and 3–5 km in width and does not freeze over. The winter fishing season provides great results. There are many species of fish in Kootenay Lake: World Record Rainbow Trout (Gerrard), Bull Trout, Dolly Varden, Burbot, Mountain Whitefish, Sturgeon, Brook Trout, Largemouth Bass, and Kokanee Salmon
